Here are all the steps to become LIC agent:-

Step 1 – Firstly, you need to visit the LIC branch office that is close to you with your basic identification documents.

Step 2 – After visiting the branch office, contact the development officer of the branch and show your documents to him.

Step 3- Then, an interview will be conducted by the officer. And, the candidates who get qualified in the interview are being trained at the Department/Agency Training Centre.

Step 4 – The training time is about 25 hours. In that, they will teach you all the aspects you need to know related to the insurer’s life insurance plans.

Step 5 – When the training has been completed, all the applicants must attend a pre-recruitment test administered by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).

Step 6 – All should need to score at least 35% in the test which allows you to obtain a hiring letter from LIC of India. Afterward, the LIC insurance provider also receives an Identity Card.

Step 7 – After that, you will get hired to become LIC agent by the company. You need to collaborate with the team at the branch office and all your will be controlled by the development officer.

Step 8 – The necessary field training and other information and will be given to you to begin your job.

So, this is the whole process you need to go through to become LIC agent for life insurance corporation.

Documents required to become LIC agent

  • You need only one document to prove your address. You may consider an aadhaar card, pan card, driving license, and voting id.
  • Educational proofs such as 10th standard or 12th standard certificate. 
  • 6 photos of passport size

Eligibility criteria to become LIC agent

Before you become LIC agent you need to clear the pre-recruitment test administered by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). But to appear in that test you need to first fulfill the following aspects before the test :

  • At least 18 years of age would be the minimum age to be a LIC agent.
  • Your minimum qualification should be a 10th pass.
